My family, friends and I loved every moment of our 7night rafting trip on the magnificent Franklin River! We felt some comfortable in the extremely capable hands of our guides
“The Trip of a Life Time” – The trip was more beautiful, wild, and exquisite than I’d imagined. I fell in love with the Franklin River; it’s so pristine, and there’s no place like it. So glad this wild place is still pure. Brett, Mark, and the other Water By Nature guides are excellent. I felt safe and well cared for. The food was delicious and plentiful. I hope to return. The video shows some of our favourite footage from 2015/16. As we look forward to getting out on the Franklin River again on October 2. There are still a few places left on this 7 day full river tour and plenty of water on the West coast should ensure easy paddling.
The Franklin River has a thousand faces and low water levels bring out some of its prettiest features. Even with lower than average water levels, rafting is still a relatively easy way to experience the remote beauty and wilderness of South West Tasmania.

A few ‘arty’ shots from our last trip down the Franklin River, a typical February 10-day expedition with very little rain, low river levels and plenty of sunshine.
‘Thunderush’ in the Great Ravine provides some great class IV whitewater rafting at medium to high levels.
